What to see in my holidays to Cuba

By Jose Mauricio Maurette

Are you considering your next holidays in Cuba? If so you are in for an unforgettable experience. Cuba?s charm is comparable to no other destination in the Caribbean, for not to mention its history and impressive architecture patrimony.

Cuba is the largest of the Antilles and offers a wide variety of holidays. If you are looking for just relaxation on a beach resort or get to know the island by joining an escorted tour Cuba certainly does not lack options

Varadero has to be the most favourite beach area among tourists. Located only 2 hours drive from Havana it is ideal for those looking to spend few days in the beach and also enjoy the squares and bars of Havana?s beautiful Old Town.

Vi?ales Valley located in Pinar del Rio province enjoys by far the most astonishing landscapes of Cuba. It is also famous for its tobacco plantations responsible for the best cigars in the World.

Trinidad de Cuba one of the most beautiful cities in Cuba was declared world heritage site in 1986 and today it is still looks the same it was 300 years ago. Trinidad also has the best beaches in the Caribbean side of Cuba so if you want to blend a bit of culture and relaxation then Trinidad is definitely the place to go.

Havana has to be my favourite place. Not only was I born in Havana and know it quite well, I can say with confidence that I have walked every corner of this amazing City. You have to visit Havana if you really want to feel you have been to Cuba. I particularly recommend the Old Town area to stay and the night clubs of Vedado neighborhood.

For history lovers and thouse wanting to get to know the real Caribbean culture there is no better place than Santiago the Cuba. With a very rich cultural heritage Santiago de Cuba is the best place to enjoy a Cuban Carnival which takes place around the 26th of July every year.

Cuba has accumulated in the last 4 centuries a wealth of history and character. Especially in the last 50 years after the triumph of Castro?s revolution in 1959. Some consider it all might change soon so my advice is to start planning your holidays sooner rather than later.
