The Bold and Ballsy Style of Motocross

By Nia Lawrence

While pop culture dictates that style is described by fashion magazines and runways, style isn't just about that. Sports also have a style of their own. Although there are designated jersey styles in each sport, the colors, the design, the logos, and the general look is dependent on the people wearing them. As for motocross, the athlete has the liberty to choose the patterns and designs even if they seem silly. And then there are conventional designs and dark-looking ones. Whatever they choose to wear, they have that command of making things look cool.

Along with helmets, pads, and all the protective gear, the other most important thing is the eye-catching shirt. The entire ensemble could serve as a trademark. Unlike in sports where athletes have to play in teams and they have to have the same uniform, individual sports allow for athletes to wear the kind of clothes and necessary accessories such as motocross goggles that reflect their style and individuality.

The main thing that should be observed in sports wear is its comfort and ease. The athlete should be able to move about without exerting an effort. However, despite the comfort, every single person has their own liking or inclination - amateurs, athletes, fans who show their support by wearing a certain sport's uniform. Designs play a chief role in the things they choose to wear. Fortunately, the variety of tastes is matched by the growing number of apparel brands that are emerging, including Wreckage clothing.

Wreckage was launched in early 2008. Although they offer more of the street wear type of clothing, they also cater to the sporty side of it all. In fact, they have sponsored events and athletes like Brian Foster and Matt Veach in the MMA before their first-ever UFC stints. Yes, they are open to sponsorships, too. Other than the MMA fighters, they also cater to skaters, surfers, dirt biking enthusiasts, etc. According to them, "We are a little old school, and a little new school, but 100% original."

Motorbike amateurs and athletes alike are perceived as rebels and masculine - real men riding their KTM, Honda, or Kawasaki bikes, taking jumps and doing flips and stunts, and that is because MX fashion is very bold in nature. Although they seem crazy or wild to some, to fans, they're ballsy and look cool as ice as they blaze through the rough terrain. The mere sight of their wheels leaving a trail of dust is amazing - talk about dusty, bold, and ballsy style.
