Improve Your Scenario Game By Practicing 2 Man Drills And More

By Chester Windfield

Two man is just the title and these skills could easily include 3 or 4 people but any more than that would be in the squad category & just one player would be sniper techniques. Understanding and becoming an effective two man team will ensure your success if you are out on a mission and get separated, most of your team gets eliminated or if your side of the skirmish is called on to flank an opponent.

Many generals of scenario paintball games are finding that most of the time it's better to just send a small team to pick up an item or to accomplish a mission in the enemy controlled side. This leads to a bigger success rate and when you have bigger teams, they tend to get noticed a lot more. Adaptive 2 man teams can keep the enemy tangled up for some time and they are usually the ones that get the general killed or ambush the entire enemy HQ.

If you are looking to better your ball skills, try these few practice drills. The first drill to learn is a flanking drill; this requires at least 3 players to practice. You will need one guard and at least 2 flanking players. The objective is to come up behind the guard while he looks towards your position, without being noticed and take him out before he sees you. When in a scenario game and you flank either to the left or right, you are going to try and take out the opposing players while they have tunnel vision on your main team.

Objective- Flankers start from out of sight position, guard engages upon visual contact. Flanking either left or right players try to shoot all the bottles. Flankers are allowed only one hopper of paint while the guard is unlimited.

You don't have to be military trained, and proficient in genius 101, to have fun in paintball while you are accomplishing goals and being successful. As with all paintball missions they do go awry on more than one occasional mission and practice always make perfect!

Paintball is not rocket science but it can be a whole lot more fun when you are achieving goals and successful on more than just an occasional mission. Try these drills with your team and keep at them until you have a much greater success rate than when you started. You'll be amazed at how this translates out on the field and other players will also be astonished at the improvement too.
