There is something about the prestige of winning or should I say earning a Most Valuable Team award at a 24 hour scenario paintball game that brings out the best in any team. Plans are made months in advance as teams ready themselves to outdo others in their quest for the honor. E-mails are sent to the general requesting high risk missions, research is done on the story line, team meetings are held to assure everyone is on the same page and every other conceivable preparation is made to get this one accolade that in scenario paintball is higher than any other.
Having done over 50 scenarios as general I think I can help your team with a few pointers on what and what not to do to improve your odds. I've been begged, bribed and even double crossed by teams who thought they could garner the 811 certificate in this way. I can't speak for all who will lead your games but I feel safe to say that none of these will work with any general that I know of.
First off, email your general as soon as you know what side you are on. Then you need to introduce yourself on game day. And if you think that's enough...it's not. You will also need to be the first team at the base, and state your name each time you communicate with the general, be willing to get your game plan off and running, and use every last opportunity to tell them what you have done.

The hardest thing about a scenario game to me as the general is the awards. I try very hard to mention every team but I know I miss some every time. The ones I don't miss are those who have stood out either because of their outstanding actions or the ones who have let me know they were there. I can't see what you've done and I have no idea of the minute details unless I was with you on some general led mission. I will however remember The MVT Raiders who spent 2 hours on base security or who ran a mission no one else would run at two in the morning. So even if you've failed on some level or if you've wiped out every squad you came in contact with I may never know unless you made the effort to clue me in.
I have given the MVT award to brand new teams, small teams, 2 man teams, and even the mega-scenario teams. The biggest thing is just prepare and take the necessary steps to let your general know who you are and what you have done to be in the running for this highly sought after award.
