There aren't too many things that can measure up to the enjoyment of rushing down the slopes and feeling the wind on your face. For a lot of people, just staying on the skis on the way is a judge accomplishment. That is why effective skiing safety tips are so important. Muscles need to be warmed before you head for the slopes or trail. You can accomplish this warm up with light level aerobics. Next to some stretching focusing on the leg muscles. You need a high level of physical fitness to do this demanding sport. Cross country is more demanding because you go for a long time without stopping. While other types of skiing like down hill place more immediate demands on area of the body such as legs and torso.
