Cycling Tips To Bring With You Besides Your Ibera Pakrak

By Etta Bowen

French mathematician Jacques Ozanam was the first to describe the idea of having a human powered vehicle in 1696, something with which a person can drive himself without horses. A four wheeled carriage that was steered by a driver and pedaled by his servant was invented. In 1813, a German baron invented a vehicle with four wheels that can carry two up to four passengers who worked a crank through their legs while another passenger assisted in steering the vehicle with a tiller.

The development of the so called safety bicycle in the 1880s became the most remarkable event in biking history. That design became closest cousin of the enhanced bicycles we have today, all with pneumatic tires, comfortable frames, and mounted Ibera Pakrak panniers. Since the bicycle craze in the 1890s, bicycling became a significant means of traveling and transportation. Here are a few guidelines when you are planning to go for a bike ride.

The first thing to do before you hop on the seat is do the basic bike check, named as the ABC Quick Check. A stands for air, B for brakes, C for chain and cranks. Quick refers to quick releases that should be closed, and Check is for taking a test ride to see if everything is in good condition.

Make sure that you inflate the tires to the recommended pressure shown on the sides of the tire. A pressure gauge must be used to measure proper pressure. Examine the brake pads as they should not be rubbing the tire and must be replaced if there is only one fourth of the pad left. Tighten bolts if there are loose cranks, and keep your chain rust and gunk free.

The side straps of your helmet should just be below your ears, about a half inch or less. The chin strap should also be a half inch under your chin with your mouth closed. These straps are important as it would be pointless to use the helmet without those, the same way seatbelts work. Never skimp on head protection.

Dress for the weather as bicycles do not really offer the same weather protection cars and other vehicles offer. For example, be armed with a waterproof jacket when there is rain and go for ear warmers and gloves when it is cold. It is also highly recommended to wear reflective and bright clothing. Be careful if you do not have a chain guard. Keep your pants far from the chain by using leg bands or by rolling the pant legs up.

Once those are taken care of, you may want to pack the must haves of every biker. Bring a spare tube that is exclusive for your bike and your bike alone, in case of unlucky circumstances that you will have a flat tire. If you have never changed one, you can watch DIY videos or ask bike shops how to.

Do not forget your identification, money, insurance card and road ID in case of emergency. You could use a bag balm when nasty chafing and saddle sores occur. Bring home comforts if your are planning to go on a long distance ride, especially that camping is to be expected than being able to spend the night under a nice roof.

For comfort, fit a frame at your local bike shop where they can help you. While it should be made for comfort, it cannot be adjusted once it has been attached. For ideal results, your leg should a little bent when the pedal is pushed down, if you are using a step through bike. Note that there should be one to two inches between you and the frame. If it is a mountain or a hybrid, it should be three inches to four.
