How City Bikes Can Be Compared to Nintendo

By Rob Sutter

City bikes are, to put it simply, meant for casual use. These bikes which are meant for short-paced rides on flatter surfaces mean that you don't have to be overly passionate about biking to use them. People can still become highly invested in them, to be certain, but they are usually meant for short spurts of casual downtime and I can't help but feel like Nintendo fits this as well. They both experience great usage, sure, but they are still very much meant for the less involved audience.

Nintendo's video games, compared to titles on other systems, feel as though they're more limited. This isn't to say they're terrible; Nintendo's games are very well-made and with nary a glitch to be seen, they are perhaps the cleanest around. It's just that they aren't quite as expansive; play a title like "Assassin's Creed 3" and then go on to play "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword" and I think you'll see what I mean. Some games are simply meant to be casual and these types of bicycles are more or less the same.

Companies such as Linus Bikes create a bevy of bicycles to sell such as vintage and European for those who admire a more collective taste. However, city bikes seem to be the more common type in existence but that doesn't make them any less functional. People enjoy using them because they are so easy to handle and it doesn't take much to get the hang of how they control. It's easy to utilize these bikes and there isn't a thing wrong with that, if you ask me.

Once you find that you're not having fun performing an activity anymore, it might be time move onto something different. I can't begin to tell you how many RPGs I've played within my life that I simply gave up on because they just took too much work for even me to want to give. I simply don't have the patience for it when all I want to do is play a video game. When I have to walk away from the game system, it's a very telling sign, don't you think?

Sometimes I don't want to spend many hours on a video game with a grand storyline. There might be instances where I just want to run through a world with no other objective than run and jump. I feel like bicycles can be the same where I don't want to commit to a lengthy ride which may span miles upon smiles. A simple ride around the block could do just fine and a city bike, much like a Nintendo platform, does the job very nicely.
